Yesterday was the first trip to the headpond with the new machine and we didn’t have enough fuel to make it all the way, had to turn at Taylor Brook, it was a guess on our part so next trip we will have a few more cans on board, we will head that way again tomorrow. Last night Allain groomed 515 to Fins, 512, 523, 522 and 520 to Rae’s. Also yesterday we tramped 514 from Portage River south to the beaver dam just past Ian Sobey’s field, we put the groomer out on the dam a bit and the water started boiling up so we turned there, if anyone is in that area and could cross the dam a few times with a sled that would help make things freeze before our next attempt, the operators observations were, don’t bring a drag on 514 yet as it is too rough and there is no snow, so we will wait for more snow.
